Digging through the archives and I found this awesome poster design we did for my dad’s retirement a couple years ago.

But a little background first… a few years prior to his retirement, there was a very real chance that my dad’s job was going to be phased out.  So, like any motivated pre-retiree, he enlisted the help of his son to make a handful of buttons to be given out as a “joke” to his colleagues to help lobby to keep his position in tact. I’ll just assume that it was our amazing design that eventually ensured that he was able to ride out the rest of his career in style.

Putting the final touches on the new album design for Winnipeg-based rock group The Past.  Their first album Holywater is set to drop sometime in the new few months.  Definitely a fun project to work on, and it’s always fun doing work for your friends.  I’ve done a bunch of work for Jordy Heppner (formerly from Hope Atlantic) over the past number of years and it’s nice to be able to help him launch his new project.  Expect big things from these guys in the not-too-distant future.

Which reminds me that I’ve worked on a bunch of different album designs over the past few years.  Check out the designs after the jump.

It’s been way too long since I last updated this site.  Time flies, things change and 2014 has been a whirlwind year.  I got engaged to the woman of my dreams, hosted a kick-ass wedding social (it’s a Winnipeg thing), laid to rest my beloved grandpa Gerald Hallick and designed a lot!  Suffice to say, lots of ups and downs, but I think 2015 is going to be an even better.  I’m going to try and stay off the internet more and more, try to live in the “real world”, and spend more time with my wife-to-be.  Which means this site may be even less active (if that’s even possible?).

I thought I would share this baseball card design from a few years ago.  It was my grandpa’s 85th birthday and the St. Louis Cardinals (his favourite team) won the World Series that year.  Oddly enough, they also won the World Series the same the year he was born (1926).  He must be their good luck charm.

I’m definitely gonna miss his quiet wisdom and sense of humour, but I can find solace in the fact that he lived a full life and spent the majority of it (61 years!) married to the love of his life, Shirley.

After many years of putting off a website I’m finally (FINALLY!) breaking down, or rather, getting my shit together!  Welcome to the new home for Little Man Graphic Design on the world-wide-web.  Or as I like to call it; the Al Gore Experiment.

I’ll be posting more and more of my past work and hopefully will keep the site updated enough to showcase more of my recent projects.  It’s also fall time – my personal favourite time of the year.  Halloween, candy, clothing layers and the eventual return of Christmas…..oh and the return of specialty drinks at Starbucks.

I’m such a hipster.
